Global Furniture Wonen: We are focussing much more on Europe
Due to the continuing container crisis and lockdowns in primarily China and India, the delivery times and especially the reliability of them are under a lot of pressure.
Added to that, the quality isn’t always like we were used to from Europe and especially the Netherlands.
Global Furniture is committed to production in Europe. More and more, we are adjusting our collections to the country they are produced in. We want to deliver quality like we used to and are sick of the unreliable delivery times. Customers are also sick of it, and they want their money’s worth. Better to pay a little more and get high quality furniture that is delivered on time than to buy “cheaper” furniture that is unreliable and lower quality.
Furniture produced in the Netherlands or other parts of Europe have more reliable delivery times and are higher in quality.
The prices aren’t even that much higher anymore due to the extremely high container prices and rising wages in China and India.

In addition, Global Furniture Wonen considers it important to promote the local economy. This suits the “locally produced” trend.
By now, many of our brands, such as DYYK, H.E Design, Sits, Het Anker, Bijnen, Casø, and Richmond are all produced either in the Netherlands or in other European countries.
In addition, we work with small, unbranded Dutch and European furniture manufacturers.
