But which dimmer is suitable for which type of LED light source? Lucide Lighting has the perfect solution: A universal LED-Dimmer, which works with all Lucide fixtures and light sources, but also 90% of LED light sources by other brands. Every type of LED light source (12V or 230V) demands a different type of activation. The Lucide LED dimmer has a switch mechanism, which allows you to set the dimmer to both Phase-on (RL 5-150W) and Phase cut-off (RC 5-300W) regulated LED light sources. Then, you can easily set the minimum and maximum dimming range using the trim screw. In addition, the Lucide LED dimmer has a sleek, stylish cover in the colour black or white (RAL 9010). Should you want to use a cover plate of your choice, that is possible for the best known brands on sale, such as: Berker – Busch- Jaeger – Gira – Jung – Merten by Schneider – Niko, and Peha. (An adapter is required for Busch-Jaeger and Niko. This adapter comes with the dimmer).
Tip from Lucide: Make a test setup first. Do your lights, transformer and / or dimmer flicker or buzz? This may indicate a wrong match. Test this first, without screwing the dimmer into your wall.
In addition, always understand the minimum and maximum load of the dimmer (see Max wattage RC / RL). Look closely at your wall socket: the Lucide LED dimmer is only suitable for regular sockets with threaded holes. No separate installation clamps will be included, so that the dimmer is not suitable for sockets without screw holes.
