Oranje Wood Colour Oil Staining Oil
Oranje Wood Colour Oil Staining Oil stains untreated wood and protects it immediately against moisture, heat and stains (optimal protection).
Colour oil has excellent abrasion resistance and gives the surface a fairly matte appearance.
Colour oil is available in various colours, namely:
ā¢ White
ā¢ Light grey
Scope:
Suitable for all untreated wood sources (including furniture and floors).
Instructions:
First sand the surface you want to treat with preferably P100 – P120 thick sanding paper.
After that, clear the surface of dust and grease.
Make sure to stir the Colour oil thoroughly and then apply with a roller or (wide) brush (or possibly a cloth).
Spraying the wood stain is also a possibility!
Let the applied layer dry for a few minutes and then rub it out with a firm non-fluffy (cotton) cloth.
After 2 – 4 hours, apply a second layer of Staining oil the same way you applied the first layer.
After 24 hours of drying, the Staining oil has reached the maximum curing (protection)!
During the use and drying of Staining oil, be sure to sufficiently ventilate the room!
Dried oil residue (in cloth, brush or roller) is flammable so be careful!
We therefore recommend that you rinse it with water before throwing it away.
Usage advice:
Hardwoods (including oak): 2 layers of Staining oil.
Soft woods (including pine): 3 layers of Staining oil.
P.s. Multiple layers increase the degree of gloss!
Post-treatment / maintenance advice:
The treated surface will benefit by maintaining it with Greenfix (classic, grey or white) by Oranje.
Depending on the use of the object/furniture, repeat the maintenance treatment Ā± 1 to 2 times a year.
Drying time:
Depending on ambient temperature, allow the first layer to dry for a minimum of 2-4 hours before applying a second or possibly third layer.
After 24 hours of drying, the Staining oil has reached the maximum cure (protection)!
