This rug is made of an extra thick wool mix from New Zealand, which, giving it an extra robust look. This rug is a bit fuller and more ‘rugged’ than the Merino. And thanks to the thick cotton warp, it feels comfortable to walk on. The rug is reversible, which will add versatility as well as making your wool rug more durable. The Verbier natural mixed rug is available in various sizes. Each rug is handmade, and can vary in size by +/- 5%. Maintenance woollen rugs

• Vacuum often
• Vacuum the rug on both sides regularly, and vacuum the floor underneath the carpet.
• Never use the brush while vacuuming, and set the power to a lower setting.
• Do not vacuum the edge or fringe of a rug, as it will likely get damaged.
• Only vacuum the rug in the direction of the fibres.

Underlay:
Use an underlay to protect both your carpet and your floor. This will also work as slip protection.

Pilling:
Woollen rugs can pill lightly, especially woollen rugs with piles. This is completely normal, and is one of the characteristics of this fibre. The pilling can be most intense when the carpet is brand new. Vacuum the rug regularly to remove loose fibres.

Turn the rug:

• Turn and reverse the rug to wear it evenly.
• Do not expose the rug to direct sunlight

Stains:

• Remove simple, easy to remove stains rightaway when they occur.
• Wet stains can be removed using dry paper towels.
• Dry stains need to be scraped off the fabric carefully – start from the edges of the stain, and scrape towards the middle. Then, put some lukewarm water onto a colourless cloth or sponge, and moisturise the stain. Do not rub the stain, as this makes it harder to remove. Then, soak the fluid up with a paper towel, and repeat until the stain is gone

Suitable cleaning agents for home stain treatment are colourless, neutral soap. Do not use aggressive chemicals when treating stains at home. Difficult stains need to be treated by a professional, preferably right after the stain has formed. This increases the chances of cleaning the fibre.

Other information:

• Never try to move or pull the rug when there is furniture on it. This can damage the tug
• Avoid dragging furniture over the rug: use floor protectors or sleeves under the wheels of sofa – or table legs. Furniture can leave tracks on the rug.
• All new carpets have their own smell, which will eventually disappear. The smell will disappear more quickly when you ventilate or vacuum the rug.
